Texas Express NGL SYSTEM

Texas Express

Midcoast Energy Partners owns a 35 percent interest in the Texas Express NGL system, along with Enterprise Products Partners, Anadarko Petroleum Corporation and DCP Midstream. The Texas Express NGL system consists of two separate joint ventures with third parties to design and construct a new NGL pipeline and NGL gathering system.

The Texas Express NGL system 20-inch mainline originates near Skellytown, Texas, and extends approximately 593 miles to NGL fractionation and storage facilities in the Mont Belvieu area on the Texas Gulf Coast. The mainline has a capacity of approximately 280,000 Bpd and will be expandable to approximately 400,000 Bpd with the addition of intermediate pump stations on the system.

The NGL gathering system consists of approximately 116 miles of gathering lines that connect the mainline to natural gas processing plants in the Anadarko and Granite Wash production areas located in the Texas Panhandle and western Oklahoma, and to the Barnett Shale processing plants in North Texas. The gathering system is expected to include 270 miles of gathering lines by 2019.

The Texas Express NGL system serves as a link between growing supply sources of NGLs in the Anadarko and Permian basins and the Mid-Continent and Rockies regions of the United States and the primary demand markets on the U.S. Gulf Coast.
